WAEC Endowment Fund Lectures

The Endowment Fund started giving lectures in March 1996. At the 30th anniversary in 1982, the fund was inaugurated with the aim of promoting educational developments geared at improving education at international levels and giving prizes to overall outstanding candidates.

Speakers from Sierra Leone have included Prof. Eldred Jones (1997), Prof. Abdullah A. Mansaray (2009), Prof. E. J. D. Thompson (2014) and Prof. Joe A. D. Dean of the University of Sierra Leone (2019).

WAEC has also been promoting the ideals of hard work and honesty in the youth through its awards for outstanding performance in its examinations.
