National Primary School Examination

The National Primary School Examination is a national examination conducted by WAEC for Sierra Leone. It is taken at the end of primary school (year six) and is the first major public examination in the country’s education cycle.

Together with the BECE, the NPSE forms the national examinations administered by the Council in Sierra Leone. These assessments reflect local education policy while meeting the Council’s standards for validity, reliability and fairness.

Candidates and schools can check results through the official result checker and obtain further guidance from the Head Office in Freetown or from the branch offices in Bo, Makeni and Kenema.
